The plain language rules for using the app and this site.

These terms cover the Sleep Sanity app, the web app at app.sleepsanity.ca and the website at sleepsanity.ca. By using any of them you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language on purpose. If something is unclear, email [email protected].
What Sleep Sanity is
Sleep Sanity is a tool for recording your baby's sleep, naps, feeds and night wakes, and for following a structured, age based sleep plan. It is informational. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is not a substitute for your pediatrician, midwife or public health nurse. Talk to them before starting any sleep training approach, and follow safe sleep guidance for every sleep.
Your account and your data
- You can use the app with no account. Data then lives only on your device.
- If you sign in, you are responsible for keeping access to your Google or Apple account secure.
- You own the data you enter. We use it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from inside the app, or by email. See Delete your account.
Household sync
If you invite a partner, they see the same logs, plan and settings for the babies in your household. Only invite people you want to have that access. Either of you can leave the household from Settings.
Acceptable use
Use Sleep Sanity for tracking sleep in your own household. Do not try to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell the service, scrape it, or use it to store content that is unlawful or belongs to someone else.
Price
Sleep Sanity is currently free, with no ads and no in app purchases. If a paid tier is ever introduced, existing features and your data will not be held hostage: you will be told clearly in advance, and you will always be able to export or delete your data.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the app running, but it is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause or retire features. If we ever shut the service down, we will give notice and time to export your data.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Sleep Sanity and its maker are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which today is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Intellectual property
The app, website, artwork, the Bub character and the Sleep Sanity name are ours. Your logs and any content you enter are yours.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the effective date and, for signed in users, let you know in the app. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
