Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 29, 2026
Sleep Sanity is a baby sleep-tracking app built to help exhausted parents get through the night. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose, with no legal filler.
What we collect
To create your account, we collect the email address associated with your sign-in provider (currently Google; Apple sign-in when available). We don't see or store your password. Authentication is handled entirely by your sign-in provider.
Once you're signed in, the app stores the information you choose to enter:
- Your baby's profile: name and birthdate
- Sleep and feed logs: times, durations, and any notes you add
That's the full list. We don't collect device identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or anything else beyond what's described above.
Why we collect it
We use this information for one purpose: running the app. Your baby's profile and sleep logs power the tracking screens, the night-by-night training plan, and the charts you see in the app. Your account email lets you sign in and keeps your data synced across every device you and your partner use, so you can both log a night feed from your own phone and see the same up-to-date history.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in Supabase, a hosted database provider. All data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers. Access is scoped with row-level security so that only accounts belonging to your household, the people you've explicitly connected your baby's profile to, can read or write your baby's logs. No one else, including us, browses your data as part of normal operation.
What we never do
We don't run ads in Sleep Sanity, and we don't build advertising profiles from your data. We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't include any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. We don't sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers or any other third party. Your baby's sleep logs are yours.
Notifications
How reminders (for feeds, pop-ins, or wake windows) are handled depends on how you're using Sleep Sanity. In the native mobile apps, reminders are scheduled entirely on your device. The times and logic never leave your phone. On the web app, delivering a reminder while the app is closed requires your browser's push service, so if you turn on reminders there, we store your push subscription and reminder times on our server (Supabase) so we can trigger the notification at the right time. Either way, we only use that data to send you the reminder you asked for, and never for anything else.
Data deletion
You're in control of your data at all times. You can delete individual sleep logs, feed entries, or your baby's profile directly in the app, any time you like.
If you want your entire account and all associated data permanently deleted from our servers, email us at [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Sleep Sanity after a change means you accept the updated policy.
